Because running a business isn’t just strategy. It’s people, pressure, and decisions.
We’re Stephanie and Zach Betters. We started with one ugly foreclosure in 2007 and a willingness to figure it out. It was messy. It was risky. It worked.
Today, we’re founders and CEOs of multiple real estate companies—Stephanie as Founder & CEO of Left Main REI, and together as co-founders of Better Path Homes, where Zach serves as CEO.
On this podcast, we share what it really takes to build and scale real estate businesses, lead with clarity, and create companies that last.
Stephanie Betters is the CEO and founder of Left Main REI, a CRM and AI data platform built specifically for real estate investors. Under her leadership, the company helps real estate professionals leverage data, streamline operations, and grow their businesses.
She is also the co-founder of Better Path Homes, an 11+ year-old single-family wholesaling and new build company based in Charlotte, NC.
Before entering real estate, Stephanie worked as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner, where she developed the ability to make critical decisions under pressure and care for people—skills that continue to shape her leadership today. She lives with her husband and business partner, Zachary Betters, and their three children.
Zachary Betters is the CEO of Better Path Homes, an investment company focused on revitalizing distressed property across North Carolina. He spent years grinding through school to become a Physician Assistant, and years more mastering the craft – before walking away from it all to flip houses. No blueprint, no family money, no safety net. Just a bet that he and his wife Stephanie would figure it out.
Over 10 years later, the business and family he’s built along the way speaks for itself. From a solopreneur to now leading a team of 20+, completing over 100 deals a year, Zach also co-hosts the Who’s in Charge podcast sharing the hard calls, the mistakes, and the lessons learned along the way.
Zach is passionate about bringing honest conversations about what it actually takes to lead- at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
